Soft and younger-looking skin.

MySkin Laser Clinics on 22 March 2017

Forget going under the knife for a fresh new look. The latest advances in skin rejuvenation give you dramatic results without the downtime or pain – sounds too good to be true? Read on.

While you may know your microdermabrasion from your vitamin infusion, a new treatment offers the benefits of both in one magical little machine. It’s called Dermafrac and it uses an advanced, dual-action process to combat fine lines, wrinkles, acne and pigmentation.

What is Dermafrac?

Dermafrac is a revolutionary new skin rejuvenation treatment that uses micro-needles in order to stimulate collagen production and cell renewal. During the process, the skin is gently stimulated while a powerful serum is applied directly to the skin. The dual-action allows the serum to penetrate deeper, giving you clearer, younger looking skin with no downtime.

How does Dermafrac work?

Dermafrac works by lightly stimulating the dermal layers using a roller containing hundreds of tiny needles, creating micro-channels in the skin. Okay so while needles running across your face sounds scary, they only penetrate the skin at a depth of 0.2-1.0mm (which is nothing).

As the carefully calibrated hand-piece is being rolled across the skin’s surface a vacuum in the wand tip gently pulls the skin into contact with the needles. This creates tension on the skin, minimising pain and ensuring each area of your skin comes into contact with the roller. It’s less the pain of being pricked by a needle, and more like being massaged by a tiny spiky ball.

While the gentle rolling action stimulates collagen production, the real magic of Dermafrac is hidden in the roller itself. In a not-so-secret-compartment a serving of incredibly powerful serum is added. As the roller is moved across the skin, the serum is simultaneously delivered into the skin, where it finds its way to those micro-channels and gets to work where it’s needed most.

This dual-action treatment allows up to 80 percent more nutrients to penetrate the skin, making the whole thing far more effective and improving your results.

What does Dermafrac do?

Dermafrac is not a literal magic wand, but it has proven to be effective in reducing the signs of aging and giving you clearer, more supple skin.

Plus some combo treatments that can work on more than one problem at once.

So what can you expect after your Dermafrac treatment?

Clearer and brighter skin tone. You’ll also notice a reduction in fine lines, pigmentation and acne. Your skin will also feel plumper – that’s from the collagen working overtime to reproduce, giving you like-when-you-were-a-teenager softness.

Like many skin rejuvenation treatments, Dermafrac is more effective when you commit to a program of treatments over a number of weeks (we recommend 4-6 treatments, around 4 weeks apart). However many of our clients notice significant improvement in their skin after their first appointment.

As a bonus, whereas some other specialised treatments can cause puffiness, redness or involve downtime, Dermafrac provides visible results minimal visible redness afterwards. You can apply mineral makeup directly after your treatment and head back to the office (or to meet up with friends, because why waste good skin on your work colleagues).

We’re proud to introduce the Dermafrac treatment to our clinics across Melbourne. Visit our contact page to find your closest clinic and enquire about booking in for a consultation.
